The Heat Trust is a new industry-led customer protection scheme that set standards in key areas including performance, reliability and customer service. Heat Trust was established in November 2015 after two years of collaboration between industry, consumer groups and government. Heat Trust establishes a common standard in the quality and level of protection given by heat supply contracts and offers heat network customers an independent process for settling disputes. The Heat Trust mark is a sign that the heat supplier has agreed to abide by the standards set out in the Scheme.
